Additional Information

Listening to the Sea by Alanah Jarvis

This painting pays tribute to and acknowledges the Australia’s First People throughout Australia and their continuing connection to land, sea and community.

‘The sound of the waves, bring me back to me’
The reference for this painting was taken just out from Mornington Jetty on a day when the sea was rocking and rolling, not pleasant for most, but for some its when the sea comes alive and could be watched for hours.
More evidence is proving that the sounds of the waves, along with the blue environment plays an important role in our mental health and I hope to bring this feeling into your space.

The edges of this oil painting have been painted to create a faux frame and I personally love the light on the ocean’s surface!
