Longicorn Beetle Solitude I by Smith & Brooks is a limited edition print of the original artwork from the collection, ‘Lush Surrounds’.

The elusive longicorn beetle or rosenbergia megalocephala can be found in rainforest areas around Cairns, Kuranda and Port Douglas. Created as part of the 2024 tropical collection ‘Longicorn Beetle Solitude I’ uses a colour palette that has been drawn from that of the beetle and also of the surrounding wet tropics landscape. ‘Longicorn Beetle Solitude I’ works in harmony with its sister piece, ‘Rainbow Stag Beetle Solitude I’ creating a vibrant tribute to the small and beautiful creatures of the dense northern rainforests.

Each product comes printed with our signature mark on the front and is individually numbered on the back.

Limited edition 100 on high quality 310gsm Hahnemühle Natural Line, Agave Fine Art paper. Each comes with an extra white border for ease of handling for your framer. Made up of 70% agave, this fine art paper is created with less environmental impact than traditional fine art papers.

Also available ready to hang on stretched canvas. Optional float frame available in sustainably sourced oak or matte black timber. All canvas prints are made to order so please allow 4 weeks for dispatch of your order.
