Looking Back – Diptych: by Brendan Walsh (ColdGhost)

Urban Art Pop mixed media Painting

Posters from the streets, recycled into Artworks for the home.

I was thinking about how recognisable The Queens image is, even in silhouette.

Eventually we all only exist in memories and megapixels.

The street posters advertising past events add a nice nostalgic element to this piece.

This original artwork is made using Recycled Street Posters collected off the Streets of Sydney and Melbourne & takes inspiration directly from Graffiti in City Laneways and billboards.

The main Image of Queen Elizabeth was added on one side and a spray painted stencil created to silhouette the other side. Further layers of paint and street posters were added to give a worn rustic appearance.

The Artwork comes in two black frames and they are ready to hang, and the images are mounted under a clear acrylic sheets.

The 2 framed artwork measures 100x150cms
