Looking BackWhile Walking Forward: by Josslyn & Martin -Limited edition (100) print. In this print, the 2nd print from the painting, “I wanted to look at the other spirits on the canvas. Ghost is a dingo spirit, another totum that came early on in my career. He wanders the desert landscape together with another set of three human spirits (the lost souls)”.  This painting, created by Martin in the style of the Desert Painters of Western Australia, was initially inspired by a photograph of the Hills Gold Mine taken in the Australian Desert. The soil was turned blue white; what was happening to the ground? I liked the abstract nature of the image, even though it was real. You see this sometimes. “I started thinking about what the spirits of this old ground think of what is happening to their home. Were they happy or had they come to accept this new change?”

About the print

Textured Cotton Rag Ilford 310 gsm Archival Gallery Prestige 100% cotton, meeting the needs of professional fine art printers.

The prints are not ready to hang. Josslyn Martin Art recommends that your print be framed in a custom frame using an acid free matt board. In this way, your investment will last a lifetime.

The Geclee digital prints are based on original paintings by Josslyn and Martin. The edition size is limited to 100, signed and numbered with a certificate of authenticity.

Because this is a fine art print, we have allowed negative space to balance the image; our sizes relate to the paper size.

Our printer uses an Epson SureColour P9560 12-colour pigment ink with 4 blacks, which are highly archival. Other sizes and styles may be available. Please contact
