Additional Information

Jane’s painting Lost in the Forest is inspired by fairytales of the Brothers Grimm and other authors. In these cautionary tales the forest is seen as a dangerous, mysterious place where the rules of the everyday world and society do not apply. Forests invoke a primal fear linked to our evolutionary past, where dense forests could be dangerous places due to predators or getting lost. In Jane’s painting a beautiful woman has “lost her way” in the eerie and perilous forest.

Jane is a well-known Brisbane artist who has been finalist for art prizes and also exhibited at various Brisbane and Gold Coast galleries. Her paintings are held in private collections worldwide.

This small original acrylic painting is on stretched canvas and ready to hang with d-rings and picture wire. It is unframed and the sides are painted black.  It will be professionally packaged and couriered to the buyer, and a Certificate of Authenticity will be included with the artwork.
