Lucky Charm – textural abstract. Signed on the front.
As often happens, this painting is a lot different to the idea I originally had for it. Because I wasn’t happy with the first layer, I did a second…still not happy, so it needed a third…happy!
It was difficult to capture in the photos, but the gold in the painting is shimmery in the sun/bright light and the depth of the layers can only truly be appreciated in real life. The surface is also highly-textured.
The name ‘Lucky Charm’ is a bit of a play on ‘third time’s a charm’, because of how many times I changed it..
Maybe it could actually turn out to be a lucky charm for someone!
Perhaps the gold in the painting will attract some prosperity to it!
