Additional Information

Elegant chaos by Marijke Lambregtse, mixed media painting on stretched canvas, ready to hang, signed at front and the back.
This artwork is part of a series called Lost and Found I made during my stay in Bali for my solo exhibition at the Ganesha Gallery of the Four Seasons Resort. Humbled and proud to be selected for this beautiful gallery!
For these still life’s I used mostly discarded items, unremarkable bottles, jugs etc found in the every day domestic environment. When brought together they can communicate a sense of tranquility, privacy and mood. These objects lead their own lives and there is a play in the way they are situated and fight for each other’s place. They also reflect how little we value everything these days. If something is not perfect, flawless we tend to discard it and with incredible ease replace it. These objects are beautiful in their own right and energize and lift the space you live in.
Influenced by the great painter Morandi.
For the mixed media I used soil and sand from the direct environment where we lived and mixed it with pigments and paint. Signed at front and back.
