Meerkat Sentry – Makgadikgadi Pans Botswana by Steve Farrimond – fine art photographer. Limited edition (15 )photographic print. It was such an amazing experience to walk with and observe the meerkats on the Makgadikgadi Mob near Planet Baobab in Botswana.

We walked with the mob throughout the morning as the foraged and ensured their “one” hungry pup got the lion’s share of their spoils.

They always had one or two sentries monitoring the skies above and looking across the pans, to ensure there was no danger present.

Such an amazing social structure, totally love these little athletes!
