Living in my area by the beach are everyones little “friends”…the seagulls. They are indeed fascinating creatures and wouldn’t be the same without them hanging around our beautiful beaches. If you are feeling lonely, fear not, just head to the beach with a bucket of chips and you’ll have dozens of “friend” around you in no time.

I particularly like the Australian Silver Gull with its white head, tail and underparts, with a light grey back and black tipped wings. In the adult birds the bill, legs and eye-ring are bright orange red.

This painting depicts a flock settling in the early evening of a stormy Winters Day down by the shoreline tickling their feet in the shallow salty waters.
