Millennial Multitasking: by Brendan Walsh (ColdGhost

This original Artwork is a continuation of my current series, playfully exploring the merging of Man & Machine.

Childhood fantasies of future technology from last century, Astro Boy Cartoons & Robot Comics, collide with the reality of this Century.

Into the future we stride, smart phones in hand, typing all our personal information into Apps, our likes & dislikes, our exact location being tracked by satellites.

All this juicy information harvested and sold off to advertisers; ready to capitalise on our every desire and insecurity.

I agree to all T’s & C’s and tick the box; I’m not a Robot.

My art is directly influenced by Graffiti in City Laneways, Vintage Billboards and other weathered surfaces & is also inspired by my love of gestural abstraction and my obsession with using spray paint.

Insitu examples are not to scale.

The work created on Recycled Posters and Comic Books, which was built up with layers of paint to create a textured surface. The artwork was then framed in a black poster frame and mounted under clearing perspex sheet for protection, the framed work is ready to hang.
