Morning Chattering – Musk Lorikeets by Wilna ten Cate – My love for Australian cockatoos and lorikeets started years ago in South Africa. We had an extensive Australian parrot collection. I used to raise all the babies by hand. Our children adored the babies and young parrots and constantly played with them. In this artwork, I depicted a morning scene of Musk Lorikeets playing in a Bluegum tree.
It is an original tondo (50cm diameter) artwork. I used watercolours and pencils on a wooden artist’s board. This artwork is not framed but ready to hang just as it is.
