Morning Dip is inspired by coastal landscapes and is part of a series of colourful abstracts where Charlotte interprets forms from nature (rainbow arcs, seaside horizons, rising tides etc) in a hard-edged style. This painting continues her fascination with layering and juxtaposing vivid colour, experimenting with ideas of transparency and solidity to evoke a sense of joy, light and equilibrium.
