With this artwork I was motivated to portray elements being united and pressing forward as one; merging expressive shape and form, with dynamic primary colours. I wanted the mass of shape to overwhelm the background negative space; but at the same time make the background significant by painting it in a highly contrasting yellow/green hue. I was satisfied with the tension created between positive and negative spaces.

Bespoke custom framing in Tasmanian Oak, finished in Scandinavian oil, enhancing uniqueness of grain and ensuring lasting protection. Crafted with precision by experienced artisan.

RECESSED FLOATING FRAME:
A design where the canvas extends beyond the frame, creating an immersive effect that draws the artwork into the viewer’s space.

Artwork is varnished, providing protection against environmental factors whilst enhancing the pigments in colours.
