Synopsis
This artwork was where I took out my aggression during my mid-life creative burnout. This artwork was pretty and controlled. It was typically work that I would paint for buyers. Over the four weeks of artist residency, I destroyed and slowly rebuilt this artwork. From painting over the female figure when I felt lost. To writing out my internal dialog (that is just for the buyer to read – it’s not for public consumption). To repainting a butterfly to show growth and transformation. This work is a little broken and battered, but it is beautiful.
