INSPIRATION
This painting is another one from the series Neighbourhood, and was inspired by one of my night walks late at night around our neighbourhood. I observed the rising moon which from this vantage point was in between these two gum trees and warm in colour as its light shone through the hazy atmospheric conditions at that time.
In this oil painting, I’ve merged impressionism with realism to capture the intimate interplay of moonlight and shadow. The scene whispers tales of tranquility and the silent stories unfolding behind the warm glow of window panes. It’s an ode to the serene moments of night—where quiet streets bear witness to the dance between light and dark. I hope to evoke a feeling of peaceful contemplation and invite a soothing energy into your space.
