Ive always loved the water, sea water, being in it, being by it, has always made me feel relaxed and refreshed.
This artwork was inspired by that feeling. Imagining being deep in the ocean and finding Neptune’s garden.
The colour of the water being aqua is so rich and deep that I needed the richness of deep gold for the plants to flow freely and sway in the current.
I’ve used a palette knife and oil paint for the reeds to allow that twist and turn and sway in the way they would in nature.
