The second in my series of New Holland Honeyeaters and Silver Princess gum flowers.

The bird and flowers are larger than life and and stylized to allow space for the watercolour washes to become the focus with their areas of granulation and puddles of colour created in the drying process.

Painted with layered washes of watercolour and finished with intricate pen and ink linework which makes the painting look like stained glass.

• Daler Rowney Prestige watercolour board. 2mm thick so can be float mounted or matted.
