In ‘Night Forest’, I paint the nocturnal landscape as a living, breathing organism. Across three unified yet individually resonant panels, sweeping ribbons of colour — crimson, emerald, violet — evoke the muscular rhythms of tree trunks, roots, and unseen energies beneath the forest canopy. The bold, gestural brushwork and saturated palette suggest both a modernist lineage and a contemporary ecological consciousness. Layering abstraction with biomorphic suggestion, the work dissolves traditional perspectives into a fluid field of sensory intuition, where movement and stillness coexist in a state of perpetual becoming.
Employing the triptych format — historically reserved for altarpieces — I elevate the forest to sacred status, inviting viewers into a realm where natural forces shimmer with mythic resonance. ‘Night Forest’ is both an ode and a lament: a vivid reminder of the vitality of wilderness and its precariousness in a rapidly changing world.
