Night Music is part of a new series of work, exploring the Music of the Night.

In this piece I’ve used shades of maroon, pink and ultra white to create a striking and atmospheric scene.
The clouds dominate the scene, floating gracefully in the sky. The clouds and land are rendered in the same maroon through to pink palette, with the addition of high white for the highlights that give them a glowing presence against the muted tones of the land. The white highlights draw the eye to the details in the clouds and their reflections in the landscape.
The overall effect is one of harmony and contrast, where the monochrome palette is used to explore the subtle variations in tone and light

Framed with an oak floating frame  – the warm natural tones of oak complement the richness of the piece. The paint continues around the sides of the canvas and the painting is signed on the front with my name ‘Lucinda’, accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity.
