Not A Bot by Brendan Walsh (ColdGhost)

My work explores the intersections of identity, memory, and machine.

The figures in my paintings-often robots, androids, or malfunctioning avatars, aren’t just depictions of the future; they’re also echoes of the recent past, glitched overexposed often lonely figures staring into screens

I’m drawn to the ghosted outlines of obsolete tech, the unresolved energies of arcade culture, and the raw immediacy of street art.

I paint quickly and with intent to disrupt. Spray paint, ink, stencils, and scribbles overlap and compete on each surface.

There’s no final draft-only noise, gesture, and remnants. My pieces aren’t clean; they’re not trying to be, and that’s the point.

Al – ‘ColdGhosts contemporary mixed media artworks explore the evolving relationship between humanity, technology, and consciousness. Fusing visual storytelling with traditional paint techniques GhostArt creates thought-provoking artwork centered around robots and artificial intelligence. His pieces often reflect on the blurred boundaries between the organic and the synthetic, examining how Al mirrors, disrupts, or even redefines what it is to be human’ ..

Examples are not to scale.

The work was created on stretched canvas which was painted black around the edges and is ready to hang.
