Object Space 1 by Prue Crome –  is a large abstract oil painting exploring the notion of canvas as an object. The small silver squares are canvases floating above a field of colour, an illusionary field of paint on a surface. The canvas is stretched to expose 2 edges, continuing the dialogue of surface and object.

The aim for this work is to create a floating space to generate an expansive and peaceful experience yet drawing attention to the power of a straight line.
