“Om” by Teresa Franks is an original acrylic painting on canvas from the “Timeless” series which incorporates the essence of Australiana with the idea of non-linear time. Stretched and ready to hang. Signed on the front. Other paintings in the series are: “Hmmm”, “Journey” and “Dreaming”.

“I love to meditate and explore my inner child. “Om” is from my “Timeless” series and once again explores the idea of time not being linear.”

She is ripping through time, the clock and time is blurred within her trying to break through the fabric of life. The rose symbolises personal growth, transformation and spiritual awakening and some believe that roses can help to create a calming and serene atmosphere, promoting inner peace and balance.

The leaves are from the oak tree. The leaves are green, turn orange, drop to the ground, die and feed the tree which then produces new growth the next season suggesting that time may be circular.

She reminds you that time is not just one concept and to be free of time you have to break through it.

The painting took many days and hours, each brushstroke and mark making made deliberately to give such a beautiful finish. This painting would hang beautifully on any wall. The colours are striking very much suited to the surrealist genre Teresa likes to explore.
