In this mixed media original artwork I am exploring different ways to create an art piece that is a true reflection of my general nature. I’m an all or nothing type of person and i generally have a million ideas running around in my mind. Playing around with multiple materials in the background of this piece allowed me to have a load of fun without having a plan, it allowed time for play and self expression. I’m unintentionally an overthinker so creating this piece was extremely liberating but allowed for my controlling manner to be present whilst creating the owl. Owls represent many things to many different cultures google tells me some of these are wisdom, foresight, intellegence, protection and intuition. But ofcourse it can mean anything you want it to mean. They are magnificent birds of prey and i chose this particular owl because i invisioned it after sitting in silence for meditation. I am using different mediums in ways that feel natural and fun. I am inspired by street art, freedom and self expression.
