Influence:

Peonies are such a majestic bloom and it’s easy to see why they are so popular around the world. A bouquet adorned with these flowers is nothing less than spectacular.

Not only do they look good but they have long been used in herbal medicine for their healing properties. As such, they symbolise healing, compassion, and nurturing.

Here’s a fun fact:

Asclepius was the god of medicine and healing. He threatened to kill Paeon out of jealousy because he was outsmarting his teacher. Zeus saved him by turning him into a beautiful flower, the peony. Another myth links the name Peony back to a nymph named Paeonia whose beauty attracted the attention of Apollo.

Personally, I just love the look of them and didn’t want to end my creation as it was such a joy.
