Orange Soda

Orange Soda Street Abstract Urban Art mixed media Collage Painting.

This original artwork was created on recycled paper. The work takes it’s inspiration from Graffiti in City Laneways, Vintage Billboards and other weathered surfaces. The Artwork is also inspired by my love of gestural abstraction and my obsession with using spray paint.

The painting surface has multiple layers of paint with subtle hits of Acrylic Paint to give it a rustic look, like an organic build up of street paint layers. Then overlapping Sugar Spray Packs, Stencils & graffiti Paint Pens. I allow the revealing coloured layers then to influence the colour palette, in this case warm hues of Pink, Orange with hits of magenta and teal.

This artwork has a textured finish created by built up layers, paint splatters, a visual effect mimicking the look you would see in the street where this effect is created over time on Graffiti Walls & Advertising Spaces. These splashes and marks are part of the overall look and feel of the finished work.
