Roger is an “alpha” or dominant male orangutan who lives in Tanjung Puting National Park in Borneo.

He is a frequent visitor to the feeding platforms at Pondok Harapan, one of the Orangutan Foundation International’s (OFI) rehabilitation centers within the park.

Deb and I were lucky enough to encounter him during several of our visits to the feeding stations and were able to observe his behavior and interactions with other orangutans.
