Orchid Bliss by Sabina Puzey – is an abstracted orchid in full bloom. This piece is an exploration into perfectionism, chaos, abundance & peace. Can these qualities go hand in hand or do they oppose one another? Orchids to the artist embody the epitome of perfectionism and for a while were too intimidating to paint. However, behind perfectionism is usually a chaos of fear and control, and underneath that is usually, love in some form. The abundance of green lines, representing the leaves of the plant, have a slight manic touch to them, a desperation that is perfectionism. The white of the orchids is tainted, questioning purity and peace. For peace can only be truly found when we can embrace the chaos itself. This piece is a bright and colourful addition to any home, lighting up any room and bringing a smile to theface. It is many layered and full of texture and depth, bringing the feeling of life all around you.
