A large canvas oil painting of the Australian outback. Such an inspiring subject. A place of low rainfall, intense heat and total isolation. A soft hazy light added interest to the subject. The location is the Kimberley in north Western Australia. My intention was to apply textural strokes, using a palette knife, to capture the character of this rugged, yet beautiful outback landscape.

Artist quality oil paint on professional grade stretched canvas. The sides are 4cm thick and are painted consistent with the color scheme of the subject.
