INSPIRATION

A painting inspired by my latest trip to Kanangra Boyd NP a few months ago. The natural beauty of the park and the play of light and colour must have provided me with a lot of inspiration for this painting. Painting weather conditions is interesting and challenging. In this painting, I tried to capture one of nature’s most beautiful phenomena, the rainbow. The rainbow is also a symbol of hope and a new beginning. The rainbow was painted using multiple glazes of paint in order to achieve its effect of luminosity and transparency.
