Additional Information

Paterson artwork by Meredith Howse.

This work named after the poet Banjo Paterson writer of The Man from Snowy River. A poem which was both impactful and inspiring to my younger self. The descriptions of landscape and adventure still resonate with me.

Inspired by the colours of the countryside comes a sophisticated collection of abstract landscapes. Using rich deep greens, earthy browns and warm ochre’s, with a splash of blue to symbolise our rivers, dams and blue sky’s. A birds eye view point on a textured, well primed canvas. Connections are made between colours and lines, a rich tapestry of the countryside.

Deep earthy colours of luxurious high pigment acrylic paint on a square canvas. Framed in a light coloured wood floating frame.
