Pears x 2 by Rosemary Legat – Acrylic paint, acrylic ink, water colour crayons and ink pen on 300gsm hot pressed water colour paper.

I selected one of my wild layered bases created by the application of numerous layers of paint, ink, mark making and sgraffito.

Using negative space painting technique my pears and plate started to appear….developed with further layers of painting and glazing. Additional markings were the icing on the cake so to speak.

This creation is full of expression and texture. The numerous layers provide depth, interest, all stimulating the eye.

My art gallery provides examples of Pears x 2 could look framed and hung. I have also include a example of Pears x 2 hung alongside Picnic Pears (listed separately).
