Additional Information

Pebble I by Ellen McKenna – Experimenting with only using a palette knife Pebble I and Pebble II feature thickly applied paint which creates beautiful textures across the canvas. Once again working with a monochromatic colour scheme I have started this work with a base colour (orange in this painting) and then tinted it with white or shaded it with black to produce a range of colours – each one an extension of the original Orange base colour. I also wanted to play with adding white paint for the background. Generally I just leave the white sections of the canvas bare, but with Pebble I have filled in the gaps with white paint to create extra depth and texture to the artwork.

Pebble I is an original artwork created with Acrylic Paint on Cotton Canvas, which is stretched over an internal wood frame. It has been finished with a satin varnish with UV Protection and is ready to be hung.

Thankyou so much for taking the time to view my work. I hope you find something that makes your eyes sparkle and touches your heart.
