Additional Information

Pebble II by Ellen McKenna – Experimenting with only using a palette knife Pebble I and Pebble II feature thickly applied paint which creates beautiful textures across the canvas. Once again working with a monochromatic colour scheme I have started this work with a base colour (orange in this painting) and then tinted it with white or shaded it with black to produce a range of colours – each one an extension of the original Orange base colour. I also wanted to play with adding white paint for the background. Generally I just leave the white sections of the canvas bare, but with Pebble II have filled in the gaps with white paint to create extra depth and texture to the artwork.

Pebble II is an original artwork created with Acrylic Paint on Cotton Canvas, which is stretched over an internal wood frame. It has been finished with a satin varnish with UV Protection and is ready to be hung.

Thankyou so much for taking the time to view my work. I hope you find something that makes your eyes sparkle and touches your heart.
