Petals to Sea is a still life series where florals before ocean horizons become a metaphor for migration and belonging. Seeds drift on wind, water, and human hands, finding foreign soil. Over time, they root, adapt, and bloom, holding memories of where they came from.

Inspired by Hilma af Klint’s symbolic layering, I weave collage, texture, and abstraction to merge past and present. Layers of colour carry fragments of other landscapes, while new growth reaches towards the light.

These paintings invite quiet reflection on resilience, transformation, and the beauty of growing deep roots in new ground.
