Pink and Perfect Mystery by Susanne Bianchi.

One in my Romantic Series.  Romance and flowers are inseparable. Poets write sonnets to beautiful flowers; flowers are given to a loved one as a gesture of passion and devotion.

In this piece I have used a Protea; named after Proteus, son of Poseidon and shape-shifter.  Like true love, the protea lasts for a long time, hopefully forever! It is a striking and beautiful flower – a perfect mystery of nature.

I constantly start my pieces with multiple layers of under-colour boldly placed onto the canvas.  The aim is to create depth and mystery to the artwork.  I then add brush loads of muted pastel colour to provide an interesting background in support of the protea, to ensure it is the star of the show.

Acrylic paint on stretched canvas, sealed with a coat of high gloss varnish. It is ready to hang.

The artwork can be framed in an elegant slimline Oak Frame if required – please contact help@artloversaustralia.com.au for a quote.
