This artwork depicts a somewhat abstract image of a girl in a red top with dark brown hair. What makes this painting unique is the use of black lines and bold unusual color.  The background of the painting is a blackish yellow and the top the girl is wearing is a fire engine red.  These colors work well with the various hues of brown and pink in the girl’s skin tone and her dark chocolate hair with lines of pale blue throughout.  The girl’s eyes are big and wide with a innocent quality.  The painting is simple but at the same time complex.

This painting is a one-off, original stand-alone painting.  Overall the painting invites the onlooker to look at color and strong shapes in a different way with the use of contrast, thick black lines and textured highlights.
