Power of One by Evelyn Hambros –

I created a number of trials before committing to a larger canvas with this work. Piling select colours into my bucket; climbing ladders of various heights and releasing the paint onto the canvas. I have to say that each time was exhilarating! And each trial produced vastly different effects from seemingly the same movements made by me. It made me reflect upon individuality; no matter how hard I tried to make things the same and to follow specific rules… individuality and free-will found a way! The little droplets of paint melded with other colours and exploded on the canvas, making their own specific mark in their own way!

FRAME:
Bespoke custom framing in Tasmanian Oak, finished in Scandinavian oil, enhancing uniqueness of grain and ensuring lasting protection. Crafted with precision by experienced artisan.

RECESSED FLOATING FRAME:
A design where the canvas extends beyond the frame, creating an immersive effect that draws the artwork into the viewer’s space.

Artwork is varnished, providing protection against environmental factors whilst enhancing the pigments in colours.
