While painting this I listened to the queen of punk Chrissy Amphlett and The Divinyls. I had the great honour of working onstage with Chrissy while she was alive. I learnt many things about her, such as her favourite colour combo was pale pink and black. Just like the bottle of Agent Provocateur that was her favourite perfume. This painting sounds and smells like Chrissy – a heady mix between punk and provocateur.
