Quarantine Queen 2 by Brendan Walsh Cold Ghost

Urban Art Pop mixed media Collage Painting.

Posters from the streets, recycled into Artworks for the home.

This original artwork is made using Recycled Street Posters & other Found Paper Materials, it takes inspiration directly from Graffiti in City Laneways and Billboards.

The main collage background was built up with posters collected off the streets of Sydney, Melbourne and Newcastle. This background was then overlayed with Acrylic Paint, Sugar Spray Packs, Stencils & Paint Pens. Then the main Image of Queen Elizabeth, was then added and further overlaid with a recycled paper and paint to give the image a worn rustic appearance. The Queen was then given the most essential fashion accessory in the modern world, a face mask.

The Artwork comes Framed in Black and ready to hang, and it is mounted under a clear acrylic sheet.

This artwork has a textured finish created by built up layers, paint splatters and torn paper, a visual effect mimicking the look you would see in the street where this effect is created over time. These imperfections are part of the overall look and feel of the finished work.

Some of my works are also inspired by Mexican Art and Outsider Art, and have Elements of Sacred Geometry & comment on modern society.
