The Rainbow Lorikeet is one of the most colourful of the parrots found in Australia.  Their favourite foods are nectar and pollen from native flowers.  When my paperbark trees are flowering the Lorikeets descend and stay for days, swinging upside-down in the branches, feeding an chattering to each other.  This  is my impression of two of them in the branches of my paperbarks.  It is painted on a timber art board and the unusual shape looks very interesting on any wall.
