Rare Earth by Doodie Herman – Mixed Media on paper

Watercolour paper is such a lovely material to work with, and very freeing. It drinks fluid and dries quickly, allowing for free gestural layering and drawing over. I was thinking about the chaos of the bush as I applied washes, covered over and revealed.
