Reaching for Light by Sharon Grima is an original artwork. An abstract piece that captures the essence of a tree reaching towards the light. The composition weaves strong lines and fluid curves to give the tree a distinct personality, expressing the life and movement of the tree. These beautiful details are what I encounter while wandering through our local bushland — when a tree’s unique form catches my attention I am compelled to pause and record these details in my art journal.

This artwork was created on 200 gsm stonehenge cotton paper, using watercolour and art markers for the details.
