This work is part of my cost of living sale. Work this size is normally $3550 in galleries and $3000 online.

This work is oil and acrylic on 100X150cm on Fine Belgian Linen, signed on the front and sent with an artist cv and certificate of authenticity.

All my work is sealed with a conservationist Gloss Varnish and is painted on Fine Belgian Linen (except for a few on canvas). I usually only varnish a painting once it has sold as the conservationist varnish is stupidly expensive. This means there is a two day wait for the varnish to dry before sending. I paint on Linen because it provides a much better finish for the paint and is longer lasting than canvas so gives the painting posterity and the conservationist quality varnish means that you can wipe the painting free of dust if you need to which will also preserve its life.

The work is sent Unstretched (this is taken into account in the price) in a roll (a much safer way for paintings to travel) ready for stretching and exterior framing (but an exterior frame isn’t necessary unless you want it) All works are painted on the sides so if hung stretched without an exterior frame it will still look lovely from any angle (no ugly white sides). I use mobile framing.

If you decide to add an exterior frame I suggest choosing a frame that matches your furniture. ie if you have natural timber choose a timber frame, if you have a lot of black trim choose a black frame. But I would never recommend a black or white frame if you don’t have a lot of black in your home – normally a soft timber is going to look better.
