Artist Statement: The sun is shining, there are red flowers in the garden shining against the yellow sun. It’s a sweet kind day.

This work Is Oil and Acrylic 61cm X 61cm on Fine Belgian Linen, signed on the front and sent with an artist CV and certificate of authenticity. The work is Stretched, wired, Ready to Hang (but does not have an exterior frame – photos are to show a frame)

All my work is sealed with a Conservationist Varnish and is painted on Fine Belgian Linen (except for a few on canvas). Linen provides a beautiful finish for the paint and is longer lasting than canvas so gives the painting posterity and the conservationist quality varnish means that you can wipe the painting free of dust if you need to which will also preserve its life. Because conservationist varnish is so expensive I usually only varnish once the work is sold which means there is a two days wait while the varnish dries.

All works are painted on the sides so if hung stretched without an exterior frame it will still look lovely from any angle (no ugly white sides).

If you decide to add an exterior frame I suggest choosing a frame that matches your furniture. ie if you have natural timber choose a timber frame, if you have a lot of black trim choose a black frame. But I would never recommend a black or white frame if you don’t have a lot of black in your home – normally a soft timber is going to look better.

All work over 100cm is sent via Pack and Send and under 100cm is sent via Australia Post Express
