Reflecting by Pamela Mitchell

My inspiration for this work has been thinking about the past while sitting by a pond looking at the reflections in the water, so I am reflecting on life while the water reflects on nature. Nature mirroring life.
I have always been fascinated by the properties of water and reflections in water in particular. I find still water calming and can meditate better while near calm water.
This work has been created using acrylic paint as a base to begin the design process, then overlaying in oil paint to gain the effect I was after with the sheen of the water reflecting the forest above and beyond.
I have used professional acrylic and oil paint on quality stretched canvas unframed but ready to hang.
