Reflections at Wonga Wetlands by Rosemary Legat – Acrylic paint, acrylic ink & a few artist painted collage pieces submerged between her layers for texture.

Selecting one of my intuitively painted layered canvas bases to further develop into this surreal world. I drew inspiration from my memory along with a few recent photos I took while visiting the Wonga Wetlands, West Albury.

I am now living in Melbourne but I grew up in Albury/Wodonga and spent most of my life there so was lucky to have visited these beautiful wetlands numerous times. Each visit can bring a new experience and definitely worth a visit if you are in the area.

My imagination was the catalyst in capturing the vibe of this special place, helping to build a captivating world to visually delight and evoke a response from the viewer whether that be serenity. inner peace, possibly curiosity or even intrigue.

Reflections unique details would add a touch of tranquility to any chosen spot.

Her edges have been painted to blend with the painting itself and she has been finished off with a touch of varnish for protection.

Initialled on the front, signed on the back and accompanied by a letter of authenticity.
