Reflections-South West Farm by Michael Cartwright

I was inspired by the old gum tree and its mirror-like reflections in the water below. I chose a portrait format to capture the upright composition and painted the subject spontaneously in alla prima style, using a palette knife. ”Reflections-South West Farm” is a textured landscape of the beautiful countryside of Denmark, Western Australia.

Artist quality oil paint on professional grade stretched canvas.The sides are 4cm thick and are painted consistent with color scheme of the subject.
