Some of my most unforgettable memories were made the first time I visited Bells Beach, home of the famous Rip Curl Pro. I remember standing on the sand as a child, seeing the biggest waves and rip curls I had ever witnessed in my life. Until then, I had only watched surfers on TV—but here they were in front of me, gliding across the ocean with such strength and freedom. It made me dream of surfing myself, though I soon realised how hard it could be.

This painting captures that moment of awe, freedom, and raw Australian coastal power. Through layered textures, oceanic blues, and sweeping movement, I’ve brought to life the energy of Bells Beach—the world-class surf breaks, rolling waves, and endless sea spray.
