Rocky Creek by Sue Hill
Rocky Creek is an acrylic painting on a square canvas. Sue was inspired by how Enoggera Creek was flowing in the winter months and decided it was a good subject for a painting.
Sue primed the canvas with a peachy shade of orange and drew in the creek and trees bearing in mind that the centre of focus should be in the middle. Once the rocks, trees and creek were painted Sue added the two central figures and touched up areas of light and dark and she added the ripples and reflections in the water.
Once satisfied with the painting, Sue sealed it with satin varnish. She painted the edges black and it is wired and ready to hang. The painting is signed on the back.
