Rocky Gorge by Sue Hill

Sue was overwhelmed by the colours of various rocks in the East Kimberly area on a recent visit.   Such awesome colours and grandeur of the rocks in the deep river gorges really moved her to paint this canvas.  The tree, that survives on rain run-off in this harsh rocky environment sends down roots to the water which Sue has embellished in this acrylic landscape.

Sue began this painting by sketching with charcoal before adding paint to canvas.  She sealed the painting with matt varnish once she was happy with the design and colour of the overall landscape.

The canvas is wired and ready to hang and it is signed on the back.
